Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 international goals adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015. These are universal goals for both developing and developed countries that aim for a sustainable and better world by 2030. Under the principle of "Leave no one behind," the 17 goals, which consists of 169 targets, cover issues such as poverty, inequality, climate change, environment, peace and prosperity, and justice. As an educational and research institution with University Hospital, and as a research university that contributes to the global and regional communities, Keio University is also engaged in various activities related to the SDGs.
