Other Important Notes
Notes for Applicants of the Inductive Development Type Research Project
Regarding the Interview
For the Inductive Development Type Research Project, students will be officially selected based on a combination of their application form and the results of an interview conducted by the faculty member in charge. Information regarding the interviews will be posted at the Academic Affairs Office, so please be sure to check it when you submit your application form.
Regarding the Interview Schedule
Interviews will generally be held on Saturday, April 4. However, the date may change due to the faculty member's professional commitments, so please check the notice board at the Academic Affairs Office.
Notes for Applicants of the Spontaneous Development Type Research Project
For the Spontaneous Development Type Research Project, it is mandatory to have the signature of your academic advisor on the application form at the time of submission. Please be aware that this preparation may take time. It is necessary to contact your prospective academic advisor early to arrange a meeting. When arranging a meeting with a faculty member, please pay attention to the following points.
Regarding the Research Topic
First, please clarify your research topic. Since you will determine the content of your research yourself, it will be difficult for faculty members to provide consultation unless your topic is clear. After that, find a full-time faculty member whose area of expertise seems close to your research content.
For the areas of expertise of full-time faculty members in the Faculty of Economics, please refer to the faculty list.
Regarding Appointments with Faculty Members
When contacting a faculty member, if their email address is published on this site, you should make an appointment by email to discuss your research topic and research plan. When making an appointment, please be sure to briefly state your name, student ID number, and research topic. If the faculty member's email address is not public, you will need to find their office extension number at the reception of the Mita Research Building or the Hiyoshi Raiosha, contact their office to make an appointment, and then discuss your research topic and research plan. Please refrain from visiting a faculty member's office without an appointment.
