Small-group Education in a Wide Range of Economics-related Disciplines to Enhance Students’ Expertise
The Faculty of Economics consists of a single department (the Department of Economics), and as such, it offers an environment in which students can engage in systematic study of everything from the fundamentals to the cutting edge of economics. In addition, through thorough small-group education, the faculty provides a forum for each student to develop specialized interests and learn to tackle academic and social issues on their own initiative.
It has also established PEARL (Program in Economics for Alliances, Research, and Leadership), a September-admission program in which students study economics in English throughout the four years of the program, providing opportunities to study internationally.
Department of Economics
While based on traditional disciplines, the academic study of economics is constantly rapidly evolving, creating new areas of study that reflect actual conditions more closely. The Faculty of Economics encompasses this broad range of areas, allowing students to choose the specialization in which they are most interested.
Department of Economics (PEARL)
PEARL (Program in Economics for Alliances, Research, and Leadership) is a September-admission program that offers a four-year degree with all classes taught in English. It develops leaders who, armed with expertise in economics, can play an active role on the world stage.
