At Keio Shonan Fujisawa Junior and Senior High School, approximately 25% of the students are returnees. In addition, active intercultural exchange takes place within the school through short-term and long-term study abroad programs, as well as visits from short-term international students, providing many opportunities to hear English on a daily basis.
To meet the needs of students in such an environment, we actively acquire books selected by native-speaking faculty, the latest overseas novels not yet translated in Japan, and English extensive reading (ER) materials. The foreign language book corner permanently houses approximately 5,000 volumes. This collection includes foreign books requested by students and is utilized by many students regardless of their English proficiency level.
