In the Faculty of Economics, I mainly studied qualitative analysis methods, but I decided to go to graduate school because I wanted to conduct research using quantitative analysis. Currently, I am majoring in urban economics and conducting research to empirically analyze the impact of real estate purchase regulations on the market. To acquire the knowledge necessary for my research, in addition to lectures such as economic geography, econometrics, and microeconomics, I also take workshops where the latest research is introduced, and I am constantly inspired by the insights of researchers from around the world.

A major characteristic of graduate school learning is the requirement to maintain a proactive attitude toward continuous learning, centered on one's own research. Currently in my second year of the Master's program, I take four to five classes per week and commute to the Mita Campus three days a week. Although the number of classes is fewer than during my undergraduate years, each one is advanced, and it is essential to proceed with my research systematically on days without classes based on that understanding.

In this environment, I realize every day how much I learn from the people around me. My academic advisor is always available for consultation and provides detailed advice on research direction and analysis methods. Furthermore, through discussions with students with diverse research themes and backgrounds, I have been able to broaden my perspective and incorporate new viewpoints into my own research.

Every day spent in graduate school is an irreplaceable time where I can immerse myself in a field I love while challenging myself alongside talented individuals. I strongly feel that the ability I have cultivated here—to persistently delve into a single issue and keep searching for answers—will serve as an important foundation for my future career.
