Congratulations to master’s student Aoi Kida from Prof. Hideyuki Kawashima’s Lab on winning the Student Presentation Award at the 18th Forum on Data Engineering and Information Management (DEIM)!
Organized by the Database Society of Japan, the country’s largest database conference brought together 890 participants.
Mr. Kida’s paper, co-authored with Dr. Kawashima on adaptive fault-tolerance mechanisms for hardware failures, was highly acclaimed for its technical depth and social significance.

comment:
Having published two journal papers, I decided to take a different approach for my master’s final research project. I wanted to tackle a genuinely challenging and compelling question, even if it didn’t lead to recognition. Receiving this award was unexpected, and I am truly honored.
