Professor Morihide Katayama of the Faculty of Law was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon in the 2026 Spring Conferment of Medals.
The Medal with Purple Ribbon is presented to individuals who have made outstanding achievements in inventions or discoveries in the fields of science and technology, or in academic, sports, and artistic/cultural fields. Professor Katayama was awarded for his achievements in music criticism.
