The Keio University Athletic Association Baseball Club won its 41st championship in five seasons in the Tokyo Big6 Baseball 2026 Spring League.
Kazuhiro Watanabe, a 4th-year left-handed pitcher from the Faculty of Business and Commerce, led the team as the ace and won two titles: [Best ERA] and [Best Nine].
In the subsequent "75th All Japan University Baseball Championship Memorial Tournament" to determine the best in Japan, Keio University finished as runners-up. Watanabe pitched 13 1/3 innings against top teams from across the country, recording an astounding "0.00 ERA (2 wins)" with zero earned runs. He achieved the feat of winning the [Best Pitcher Award].
Watanabe was subsequently selected as one of the "28 Samurai Japan University National Team Members" for the international tournament "2026 World College Baseball Championship," and continues to take on challenges on the world stage.
