During lunch break, Keio Futsubu School students enjoy their free time after finishing their meals.
As a general rule, students at Keio Futsubu School bring their own lunch boxes, but they can also use the cafeteria (South Cafeteria). The cafeteria uses a meal ticket system, and since the ticket machines become very crowded during lunch break, many students purchase their tickets in the morning. Students buy various menu items, toppings, desserts, and snacks according to their preferences. When lunch break begins, they pick up their food at the cafeteria and eat while chatting with friends.
After eating, students can be seen in various activities: some self-study in the classroom, some read in the library, and others play outside. Among them, students are often seen enjoying a game known as "Kutsu-Yakyu" (shoe baseball) in front of the cafeteria (South Cafeteria), where they use a shoe as a bat. Perhaps a future player who will excel at Koshien or in the Waseda-Keio rivalry will be born from this group.
As the "Song of Futsubu" says, "Now study well, now play well," it is very important for Keio Futsubu School students to deepen their interactions through play with friends while also being dedicated to their academic studies.
